Rebecca M. Cohan

Rebecca M. Cohan is a board certified, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in practice in Newton, Massachusetts and the Human Relations Service in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Rebecca has been working with individual clients, couples and families for over 30 years. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and family systems theories. Her clients have been helped to resolve both internal and interpersonal conflicts, resulting in transformative changes in their lives.

Rebecca graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in 1969, and from Simmons College School for Social Work in 1972. In addition to her clinical practice, she has done clinical supervision and consultation in both public and private secondary schools. Rebecca Cohan has worked as a guardian ad litem and is a trained family mediator and parenting coordinator.

Rebecca M. Cohan is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), the Massachusetts Association of Guardians Ad Litem (MAGAL), The American Bar Association Section of Family Law, Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and the Association for Conflict Resolution.

Stephen M. Linsky

Stephen Linsky is a mediator, arbitrator, and practicing collaborative attorney in Newton, Massachusetts. He earned admission to the Massachusetts bar in 1987, and has since been admitted to the bars for the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

For nearly twenty years, Stephen Linsky has provided an interest-based, goals-oriented approach to his work with parties involved in family, employment and business-related disputes.

Over the course of his career in dispute resolution, he has mediated, conciliated, and arbitrated many hundreds of cases and has been appointed by numerous state and federal courts and agencies to provide service as an approved mediator, case evaluator, conciliator, arbitrator and hearing officer.

Stephen Linsky earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law, in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a 1973 graduate of the Roxbury Latin School in the City of Boston, Massachusetts

He is the former co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee and is a member of the board of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, the New England Chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, and other law and dispute resolution-related organizations. He has presented at numerous ADR programs and conferences and has instructed in dispute resolution at Lasell College and Israel College.

Stephen also serves as an elected member of the Newton Board of Aldermen and volunteers as a peer mediation trainer in the Newton, MA public schools.
